It won’t be easy, and victory will depend on turnout of the Democratic base. Fred Rotondaro A senior fellow at the Center for American Progress says Mitt Romney’s claim that Democrats are envious of the rich is the “most extreme and stupid comment” he has ever made. In reality, he says, by attacking government so much, the rich actually get benefits from the government that keep them from having to compete fairly.
